About Us

Denise A. Castro, Founder of VMC

Denise is a Cuban American who currently resides in Miami, Florida. She is Mother to her two year old son, Anthony Michael. She is Founder and owner of Virtual Mom Collective and Dac Mac Photography. She’s an active Mom blogger published by Scary Mommy, The B(e)aring All Project, VoyageMIA, Motherhood: The Real Deal, The Manifestation, BossMomCrew and The Selkie UK. She holds a dual BFA in Photography and Graphic Design and Marketing and Business Management, and soon an MBA in Leadership from Florida International University.

She is passionate about empowering Moms to speak about their own stories; her own journey into Motherhood is what sparked her venture into writing. She is an advocate for gender equality in the workplace for women. Treating gender diversity like the business priority it is promotes self-worth empowerment for working Mothers. The Virtual Mom Collective was founded on this principle. Created by two working Moms; the VMC is a platform of support and community which enable Moms to speak their truths during #thisnewnormal. She encourages you to reach out to her denise@virtualmomcollective.com to share your journey and collaborate.

On the weekends you can find Denise enjoying her Cuban coffee, reading books, creating content and photographing the daily adventures of her husband and son. As a woman returning to the workforce after a brief maternity leave; she tackled many challenges along the way. She wants to let Moms out there know they are not alone; and your Mom tribe starts with you; because Mother is a Verb.

In her downtime, Odalys enjoys listening to podcasts and audiobooks, playing video games or crafting with her husband and daughter, cuddling with her dog or toddler, and eating chocolate.
